Look carefully at who produced the literature.and review the statistics of the drug’s NNT and NNH. Basically, what is the absolute risk reduction…typically very disappointing for any statin.Review Okayama independent study and Nakazato Cath study.
Check the patients CPK even though there is NO drug company suggestion to do so. And be quite aware that the statins can cause a lot more damage than good. Pretty much think about NOT using them most if not all the time. Recognize,natural alternatives to accomplish the same goal.
